FAQ

Frequently asked.

Short answers. Longer ones are in the guides.

General

Is it free?

Yes, while the app is in early access. If that changes, existing users will be told well ahead and their records will never be locked away.

Which phones does it work on?

Today it runs in any modern browser on a phone or computer. Android and iPhone apps are coming from the same code.

Does it work without internet?

It needs a connection to save. Mobile data is enough; the app sends very little. If you lose signal at the ramp, log the harvest when you're back in coverage — the date field lets you pick the day it happened.

Is it in Bahasa Melayu?

Every screen, in both Bahasa Melayu and English. Switch in Settings; the app also follows your phone's language on first open.

Records and money

What units does it use?

Tonnes of fresh fruit bunches and ringgit per tonne, which is how most dealers pay. Kilograms and RM per kg, chosen per harvest, are on the way.

How is "left after costs" worked out?

Tonnes × price, minus any harvest-day costs you entered — cutters, transport, other. Income stays at the full amount in your ledger; the costs are separate expense entries tied to that harvest. More on harvest costs.

Can my family or workers use it too?

Yes. A farm can have several members — owner, manager, worker — and everyone sees the same lots and records. You invite them; nobody else can see your farm.

Can I get my data out?

Reports → Export CSV gives you every money entry for the period as a spreadsheet file.

Fertiliser and weather

Where does the fertiliser advice come from?

MPOB's F-series guidance for smallholders: product by soil type, dose by palm age. The app turns that into kg per palm and sacks per lot. It's general guidance, not a soil analysis — the guide explains the tables.

It says my palms are "too young" for a recommendation.

The lot's tree age is missing or under a year. Edit the lot and pick the palms' age from the list; the age band and dose follow from that.

Where does the weather come from?

A public forecast service, using the location you set for each lot. It's a 14-day forecast; the app only uses the first few days to steer a suggested date, and never claims to know further out.

Account and data

Who can see my records?

Only members of your farm. Records are protected per farm on the server; there is no public view and no sharing with dealers, mills or anyone else.

How do I delete something?

Harvests, money entries, fertiliser and activity logs each have a delete action on their row. Deleting a harvest also removes the sale and costs it created. To delete your whole account, write to us and it's done within a few days.
