Plain terms for a plain tool.

The service

SawitSync is a record book for oil palm smallholdings: harvests, money, fertiliser, field work, plans, and a market page. It's operated from Malaysia by the operator of SawitSync ("we"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you're using it for a farm you don't own, you confirm the owner has let you.

Your account

• You need to be 18 or over and give a real email address you can read — we use it to confirm the account and to reset your password.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep the password to yourself; if you think someone else has it, change it in Account and tell us.
• One person, one account. A farm can have several members; the owner decides who.

Trial and subscription

• Free trial. Every new farm gets 30 days with everything unlocked. No card is needed to start.
• After the trial. Without a subscription the farm goes read-only: you can still open, read and export every record, but not add or change any. Nothing is deleted.
• Subscription. A subscription is per farm, bought on the web at the price shown at checkout, monthly or yearly, in ringgit, and renews automatically until cancelled. Payment is handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record; their receipt is your receipt.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time from Account → Manage subscription. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for; there is no refund for the remainder of a period, except where the law requires one.
• Price changes. If a price changes, it applies from your next renewal, and we'll tell you at least 30 days before by email or in the app.
• App-store builds may not offer purchase inside the app. Where that's the case, subscriptions are managed on the web.

Your data

• The records you enter are yours. We claim no rights over them beyond what's needed to run the app for you, as described in the privacy notice.
• You can export everything as CSV at any time from Reports, and delete your account and all its data from Account.
• Members of your farm see all of the farm's records. Invite people you trust.

The advice

The fertiliser doses, due windows, weather scores and market figures in the app are general guidance, worked out from published sources (MPOB stages, public price data, Open-Meteo forecasts) and from what you have entered. They are not agronomic, financial or legal advice for your specific land. Soil, terrain, planting material and weather vary from lot to lot; check with an agronomist, your dealer or MPOB before you spend money on the strength of a number in the app. You decide what to do on your land; we don't.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, to store anything you don't have the right to store, to probe or overload our systems, or to reverse-engineer it. Don't share your account or resell access. We may suspend an account that does any of this, after telling you where we reasonably can.

Availability

We aim to keep the app up around the clock but don't promise it. Maintenance, outages at our providers, and problems we haven't found yet can all take it offline for a while. Keep your own export if the records are critical to you. We can change or retire features; if we ever retire the whole service, we'll give at least 60 days' notice and a way to export.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent Malaysian law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — a missed harvest, a fertiliser round that didn't pay off, a price you relied on — and our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies.

Ending things

You can leave any time by deleting your account. We can end your access if you break these terms, or with 60 days' notice otherwise; either way you'll be able to export first. Sections on your data, the advice, liability and law survive the end of the agreement.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the Malaysian courts have jurisdiction. If we change them in a way that matters, the app will say so on the dashboard before the change takes effect; the date at the top is always the current version. Questions: hello@sawitsync.com.
